It might be worthwhile mentioning I'm looking for work. My contract with IBM ran out at the end of December. I'm not wanting to start something until the first week of February. My resumé can be found here.
My ideal job would be something in neuroscience. Neuron and neural circuit simulation, spiking neural nets and so forth, are all of great interest to me. Right now I'm investigating ways of simplifying (computationally) the simulation of cortical microcolumns, in their entire diversity, while maintaining their functionality.
Okay, well step 1 is done. My new site is up. There's only one bit of content so far. I'll start adding more later and will hopefully have everything operating smoothly in no time.
It may be a bit buggy, it may not. Who knows. I'll try to start getting articles moved over and I have a number of new things I'm anxious to write about.
I've been wanting to install Drupal for quite a while. The last time I tried was about 6 months ago. I ran into some problems and ended up letting it go. I decided when I had some free time, I'd give it another shot. 15 mins of work this morning and I had it installed. 10 mins later I logged out, tried to log back in and somehow the PW didn't work. The install also had some problems getting SMTP mail to work, so when I tried to have it send me a new password it said it couldn't because of SMTP errors. So I was completely locked out.
